Artist Statement

My first name is John, but I have changed my name to JohnM and the reason why I changed my name is that it sounds more interesting and maybe a little intriguing. Like many of you I have never gone to a school for Artist’s or a school for photographers, and like you I see the world through a lens formed by what and who I am, my humanity, my education, and my life and professional experiences. So, you see we have much in common.

My images are just snap shots of different places along my life’s journey. Stand next to me and see what I see. Stand next to me and feel, and immerse yourself in the moment created by the image. I promise you fidelity. Enjoy the journey that I am sharing with you, my new friend.
